Contest!

Hello, book (and movie) lovers!

In honor of our upcoming 40^th birthday (did you know we’re turning 40 years old this June?!), we will be hosting a number of contests, events, and activities over the next few months to get into the celebratory spirit. Today marks the first of such contests, as we have two pairs of tickets to the Mary Pickford event on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 7pm.

Interested in winning a pair of those tickets? It’s easy to enter today: all you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post by 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time today, Monday, January 28, 2013. Your comment will act as your entry to the contest. One comment/ entry per person. Don’t worry if your comment doesn’t show up on the blog right away; we have received your entry.

Two names will be selected at random after 5:00pm today, Monday, January 28, 2013.

Winners will be announced by 6pm today.

Winners must be able to pick up the prize at the Elliott Bay Book Company prior to the event.

EDIT: We’ve made the tickets available at will-call. No need for the winners to stop by the store to pick them up beforehand.
